How we started

The original association (then called the Integral Regression Network) was founded by Roger and a group of students and graduates in 2002 in Devon, England.. He wrote, asking their help “to form some kind of association that recognizes and establishes us internationally as a community of therapists, healers and associates—a community that can meet regularly and share interests, expertise and experience, as well as exchange with others on both a professional and personal level” Roger was at pains to emphasize that this was not just a professional club, an elite, but was open to all students, graduates and fans of his work and related healing practices. He later wrote: “The Network has been a dream of mine for years. I’ve always wanted a widespread “community of the spirit” (Rumi) loosely knit by a common hunger for healing, self-therapy, meditation practice and sacred pilgrimage. And above all such a group would be united by a passionate love of life…”

IDMA today

In recent years the Network has grown slowly in Britain, its membership embracing a small number of members from the Continent . Last year it moved tentatively into Europe with a lively meeting in Portugal on "Regression and Shamanism" [see above link Portugal 2006] and found itself fired up by many enthusiastic new students from not only Holland and Austria but also America. Suddenly we had become “international” and needed a new name, so we reconstituted ourselves as the International Deep Memory Process Association (IDMA).
